Axel Krebs
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=309857

            Bug ID: 309857
          Severity: critical
           Version: 2.8.0
          Priority: NOR
          Assignee: [hidden email]
Summary: crash when starting image editor >> improvements >>
                    restaurations
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: Linux
          Reporter: [hidden email]
          Hardware: Ubuntu Packages
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
         Component: Image Editor
           Product: digikam

When opening a jpg file in image editor, I get crashes when starting
improvements >> restauration.
- Pic size is about 11 MB.
- Setting is "reduce jpg-artefacts"
- Tool starts to work to some percentage.
- Working progress is slow - 20 % in one minute (would be about 5 min total)
before reaching 50 %, digikam crashes.

I tried three times- everytime the same result- crash!

Axel

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. start digikam
2. open jpg in editor
3. start improvements
4. select restauration
5. choose jpg-artefacts
6. experience a crash
Actual Results:
crash when starting a standard option

Expected Results:
should just run
