Summary: Wish: scan collections in the background Product: digikam Version: 2.1.1 Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: Usability AssignedTo: [hidden email] ReportedBy: [hidden email] Version: 2.1.1 (using KDE 4.7.3) OS: Linux When importing large image collections, instead of a modal dialog that blocks activity, it would be better to process the collection in the background. Albums are added under "My Albums" as they are scanned, and already scanned images can be worked with right away. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Start with an empty database and add a large collection, and wait... Actual Results: No work can be done while scanning. Expected Results: It should be possible to work with images as they are scanned. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |

--- Comment #2 from Marcel Wiesweg <marcel wiesweg gmx de> 2011-12-26 21:01:34 --- I didnt try but I cared only for the startup period, not for the case that a new collection is added from the setup, so I'm not sure it's actually fixed. Terence, did you try with 2.4? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |
