It would be a good improvement if it was possible to copy files (in the viewer
and in the editor) to the clipboard. So you could easily copy selected files or
edited ones to the clipboard and insert them as new file in GIMP e.g. for
further editing.

Reproducible: Didn't try

it's not a bug but a wish

Just tested with digiKam image editor 2.0.0 :

Edit/Select All
Edit/Copy

Run gimp

Edit/Paste as new image

It's work !
