hi,

over the time i have quite some duplicate files in different folders, mostly
when importing images saved during trips on different usb sticks, undeleted
files on the camera etc.

the duplicate finder works well (accuracy set to 100% for real duplicates)but
the resulting listing is quite impressive and i miss this usecase for the
results:
select a album in the results -> (select/all) duplicates -> (delete/move to
folder outside digikam for testing) _all other_ duplicates

so after this i have only one version of the file in the album i selected and
the others ar removed - job done, collection sanitized, happy happy joy joy

any opinions on this?

This would definitely be very useful.  Currently removing duplicates is very
slow and tedious, which really limits the usefulness of such a powerful
feature.

This feature work with current implementation from git/master.

Select album from your collection where you want to search duplicates.

Icon view will show duplicates found only in this album.

Delete unwanted items.
