Thank you!
I have updated digikam from 1.0 to 1.3 and the package kipi-plugin wasn't
updated automatically from 1.0 to 1.3. :-(   (and this causes the crash!)
After I manually updated the kipi package to 1.3 the crash went away.

=> this bug can be closed.
