I use two cameras: Canon Powershot S80 and Nikon Coolpix P90. Everything works
fine with Canon Powershot (except for occasional crashes when deleting pictures
on the camera and wrong sequence numbers), but when I import pictures from the
Nikon with the same settings as for the Canon (date-based-subalbums foramt ISO,
and rename the pictures: date yyyy_MM_dd and sequence number) all images are
saved in the folder 1969-12-31 with the name 1969_12_31_x.jpg. When I look at
the image info the date and time in the picture is correct.

I installed 1.2.0 but the problem persists. The camera window already shows the
wrong filename whereas the information window of the picture shows the correct
date/time.

Could this be a bug in the gphoto driver for the camera? It seems digikam is
able to correctly read the data from the metadata, but possibly for the
renaming the gphoto information is used. Does the relevant camera require
gphoto to access it, or is it a USB mass storage device (you can access
pictures from dolphin etc.)?
In any case, I recommend to try with a recent version.

future 2.1.0...
