digikam shows thumbnails only in album or calendar mode. When switching to
timeline, search or tags mode, no thumbnails are displayed. The konsole shows
messages like

digikam(6096)/digikam (core): ThumbnailLoadThread::load: No thumbnail size
specified. Refusing to load thumbnail.

SVN commit 1111305 by mwiesweg:

Checking for bool (with true = success) breaks when using an enum
for error conditions, where success is 0.
Apply a little syntactic sugar to make this work again -
fixes searches and schema updating.
