Version:           1.10 (using KDE 4.4.1)

Installed from:    openSUSE RPMs

Recently updated from KDE 4.3.5 to 4.4.1 running on openSuSE 11.1, X86_64.
Digikam is updated to latest version from openSuSE repositories for KDE 4.4.
All albums now show zero content, no pictures in any of them.  If I open file
manager for one of them, all the pictures are there.  

Actions I've tried
- Rebuilt All Thumbnails (thumbnail DB is 523MB but still all albums show
empty)
- Backed up digikam database file and removed it.  I let it rebuild the entire
databased.  Still all albums show as empty.

I've used Digikam since it was first available so none of these albums are new
and the location has not changed.  It is in the standard $HOME/Pictures
directory (linked to another file system) and is made up of a hierarchal
structure.

Any ideas would be welcomed.

Sounds like a problem with the kio slave. Can you please enable debug output
for digikam in kdebugdialog and paste the console output from starting digikam
here?

same problem when kde is updated and Digikam does not display any picture.

Definitely not a stupid question. :)  Yes, I always log out or restart after a
major update to KDE.  I even have updated now from 4.4.1 to 4.4.2 and the
problem persists.

In /usr/lib64 yes there are several digikam files among them being the one that
the debug showed as a failure.

In xsession-errors, I find this reference to "digi" but not sure if it's a
problem or not.

I have tried everything I could think of, downloaded the latest Digikam (1.2
from openSuSE 4.4.2 Core repositories, reloaded all kio related items, removed
digikamrcc, rebuilt the database from scratch).  Still all albums showed zero.

I just now downgraded Digikam down to 9.4 release from the repo-oss
repositories on openSuSE (only other version that shows as available for my
platform).  Digikam now works again, shows all pictures, etc.

In case anyone was interested.
