The small but popular image viewer "feh" has the same problem, and with
co-ordination with the new upstream, the git is now calling 'jpegtran' binary
from the system instead of bundling the jpeg files in the source code. This
ensures the compability from jpeg-6b up to soon-to-be-released jpeg-8a.
Maybe not ideal, but works.
