Summary: digiKam for KDE on Windows "Failed to rename Album" Product: digikam Version: 1.0.0 Platform: Compiled Sources OS/Version: MS Windows Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: [hidden email] ReportedBy: [hidden email] Version: 1.0.0 (using Devel) Compiler: mingw4 4.4.0 OS: MS Windows Installed from: Compiled sources Attempts to rename any album that has another album below it result in the error "Failed to rename Album". If there is no album below it, it works properly. If a rename fails, and I collapse that part of the tree and expand it again, the album is shown as having the name I attempted to set it to. But after closing and reopening digiKam, the name is back how it was. - Windows XP Pro, SP3. - NTFS file system - KDE 4.4.60 - LibQt 4.6.0 (All digiKam and all components were freshly compiled a few days ago with emerge.) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |

--- Comment #6 from Deep-Sea <Deep-Sea gmx net> 2012-01-09 18:49:17 --- The move-operation shows the same problem. When trying to move an album that contains an album, you get an error ("access denied ..."). Is it possible that this problem has the same origin? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |

--- Comment #7 from Deep-Sea <[hidden email]> --- Something new here? I think it is an important function. Of course, you can rename and move albums with other tools (like Windows Explorer). But then you will lose all tags etc. of the pictures. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |

Of course, you can rename and move > albums with other tools (like Windows Explorer). But then you will lose all > tags etc. of the pictures. I can reproduce this. I'll try to fix it for 3.3.0 (or 3.2.0 if the problem is obvious in Windows) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |
