Hi Gilles,
I am using a Canon camera.
IMO the problem is that digikam is (more or less) blocked while writing
metadata to the images, so that I can't continue with tagging images
immediately but have to wait until the metadata is written to the images.
The proposed solution is "just" a workaround, because ideally digikam would
write the metadata to the images in the background without making the UI
sluggish.
