Summary: picture in new folder are not displayed Product: digikam Version: 0.10.0 Platform: unspecified OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: [hidden email] ReportedBy: [hidden email] Version: 0.10.0 (using 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2), Kubuntu packages) Compiler: cc OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.28-16-generic If you create a folder outside digiKam, the new folder is displayed in digiKam - which is correct. If you then copy pictures to this newly created folder outside digiKam, the new pictures are not displayed - which is a bug or feature? If you create the folder and copy the pictures into the folder while digiKam is not running and start it afterwards, this behaviour does not appear. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |

Marcel Wiesweg <[hidden email]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[hidden email] --- Comment #2 from Marcel Wiesweg <marcel wiesweg gmx de> 2009-12-07 17:53:08 --- Do you copy the new images with KDE applications, e.g. dolphin? If you copy e.g. from the command line, notification is notoriously unreliable. In doubt press F5 to refresh (I'm speaking of 1.0-rc1 here, 0.10.0 can't do that and can probably as well fail when copying with KDE tools) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |

--- Comment #3 from <bugs kde org kamikaze-net de> 2009-12-08 02:20:46 --- If I start digiKam, switch to folder A with some pictures inside and copy some more pictures with Nautilus to folder A the added pictures are displayed in digiKam. If I start digiKam, create a new album called folder-B inside digiKam, stay with digiKam in that folder and copy some pictures with Nautilus to folder-A the added pictures are not displayed in digiKam. If I switch to folder-B and switch back to folder-A with digiKam, the new pictures are still not displayed. Also F5 (refresh) does not help If I restart digiKam, digiKam starts up in the folder that was open when I exited digiKam, but this time the pictures are displayed. I use version 0.10.0 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |

Marcel Wiesweg <[hidden email]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED Resolution| |UNMAINTAINED --- Comment #4 from Marcel Wiesweg <marcel wiesweg gmx de> 2009-12-09 18:32:57 --- Expect dysfunctions in this area with 0.10. With 1.0, at least F5 will always work. For automatic detection outside KDE (including Nautilus) we depend on system services which are unreliable on Linux. Closing because 1.0 is the release following 0.10, there will be no fixes for 0.10.
