After wards, I deleted some images from the working folder. Later when I tried to start the digikam, it showed one message telling that such an image file is missing, do you want to delete it permanently or not. When I gave 'NO', it was not possible to proceed with digikam, it just got closed. You deleted an image outside of digiKam (it was not running) and it detected these changes on the ext startup.
