This is using a fresh build from feb. 1st at noon. The file is a PNG, it seems
to work with JPEGs.

Album GUI.
What is also broken is the fact that I loose the exif data when rotating PNGs
this way. I can try if the editor works.

Album gui use kipi-plugins jpeglossless. update it to last 0.2.0-rc1 and try
again

The editor works fine, i can rotate in one step, and do not loose my exif data
:)

That said, I would prefer using the album GUI, because I can select multiple
images and process them all...

Open rotated PNG image in editor. it's really rotated by 180° ?
