i made a (cool) "fussy search" , got some thumbnails (as a result)
now, clicking on the thumbnails i get a tiny image and not the original big
image.
right clicking the thumbnail and choosing edit or view... open the right size
image.

You mean, after clicking on the thumbnail, you enter view mode, with the
thumbnail bar at the bottom, but the main field is not filled by the image,
rather the image is as big as the thumbnail?

I have heard another report where this happens very rarely. There is a fix in
beta8 without proof of fixing the problem. So, please test with beta8, and
report back if you can still reproduce the problem.

exactly as you describe it !
plus, i suspect it is displaying the thumbnail from the inside (embedded) part
of the image file. because when i try to enlarge the image... it gets gross
very rapidly. it is not the "zoomed out" version of the original image !

i relay on Debian experimental for getting a new betas so i will report back
when i get a new version.

SVN commit 907890 by mwiesweg:

Add the preview size to the cache key. The fingerprint generator loads preview
with
size 128, which can hardly be used for any other purpose.
This fixes the bug of thumbnail-sized preview images.
