When I try to "saveas" a photo in showfoto, it crash.
I have to copy file before modifying it (under dolphin or Konqueror).
On Konsole (end of the messages):

Sound like a problem of binary comptability with Mandriva.

Here i use MAndriva 2009.0 without any problem.

Recompile and install digiKam and try again

Here I use Mandriva 2009.0 but many problems ...
urpme digikam / urpmi digikam & no changes.
Should'nt I use the rpm's?

Forget Mandriva rpms and compile all digiKam & co by hand. Just resolve
depencies with rpms.

For depencies, just look in README files.

Does it crash after you close the Save As dialog, or before?
This looks suspiciously similar to bug #179035, although without a backtrace we
cannot prove this.

When you choose "Saveas", a window appear and the file name is highlighted.
As soon as you hit a key, showfoto crash.

gilles when there is pb with mandriva rpms, can you add me or some other people
of the kde team as cc: ? :)

Fabrice, we added on main/testing new rpms for showfoto. Does it fix your issue
