Summary: Digikam crashes after trying to import from Nikon Coolpix 4600 Product: digikam Version: unspecified Platform: Compiled Sources OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: crash Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: [hidden email] ReportedBy: [hidden email] Version: r893417 (using Devel) Compiler: g++ (Ubuntu 4.3.2-1ubuntu11) 4.3.2 OS: Linux Installed from: Compiled sources I have base KDE packages installed via Kubuntu's PPA, but I compiled digikam today following the instructions here: http://wiki.kde.org/tiki-index.php?page=Digikam+Compilation+on+Kubuntu+Intrepid /kdegraphics is r893417 I launched it in GNOME. My camera is a Nikon Coolpix 4600 that has worked before, although I never remember if I use PTP or USB mass storage. (1) Import > Cameras (autodetected) > USB imaging interface. (This is not what I remember using from previous DK versions, but it brought up the right window) (2) Select pictures to download. Creation of new folders to store them worked. Progress bar looked like pictures were being transferred. (3) I closed the Import window, and digikam crashed fairly quickly thereafter. (4) Backtrace proclaims itself to be useless. I tried the same steps again, and this time the pictures were copied (I did use a slightly different set). However, digikam still crashed. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |

Alex Ruddick alexrudd0 gmail com changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Version|unspecified |0.10.0-svn --- Comment #1 from Alex Ruddick <alexrudd0 gmail com> 2008-12-07 23:04:41 --- I thought the transfer worked the second time (i.e. I could see the proper files in a file manager). However, upon re-opening digikam they disappeared. I checked, and the files were indeed deleted. The third time I tried with only one picture, and digikam still crashed but did not delete the picture. The fourth time I tried with several pictures, and got a crash but no deletion again.

--- Comment #2 from Alex Ruddick <alexrudd0 gmail com> 2008-12-07 23:16:37 --- I now realized the files were not deleted, but showed up in the parent album folder. Eg. I imported to folder1/folder2 The files appeared in folder1 -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |

--- Comment #3 from Marcel Wiesweg <marcel wiesweg gmx de> 2008-12-23 14:55:39 --- Please test again with beta7. The problem to store pictures in the wrong album has been fixed. For your crash, we need a backtrace. As you dont get a useful backtrace afterwards, you need to run digikam under gdb. If you dont know how, look at http://www.digikam.org/drupal/contrib -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |
