--- Comment #2 from Andi Clemens <andi clemens gmx net> 2008-10-16 00:14:03 --- I looked through this patch now and most of the things are alright. I have two tiny issues though: 1. I don't think PNG has a fantastic compression (by the way fantastic was misspelled, so I corrected it :-)), I really think "good compression" would be enough. But go ahead and discuss on that :-) 2. I think the tip containing "... that albums in digiKam are folders in your Album Library..." is too long and (now I'm picky :-)): it has a Microsoft example in it. I know we just ported digiKam to Windows, but digiKam was and still is mainly a UNIX program, I think 95% of our user-base are UNIX / Linux users. But again, just my opinion, discussion is open... :-) In general I would just skip this second sentence due to the length of the tip. The rest is already merged with my GIT branch... I will continue to your next fixes now. Fantastic was probably meant more new-agey. > 2. The idea for this one was contributed vocally to me by my gf, as this is exactly what she did/needed to know, when she converted to digikam. My patches are malleable. Change 'em how you want to. _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |
Well like I said these threads are open for discussion now :-) I'm not the
only one in charge and some points need more opinions from other devs / users. But in general most of it will be added immediately in my branch. Thanks for your work so far!!! No worries. Honestly, I'm here to help. Change anything I submit if you need to. No ego vested in this. Like I told Gilles, I absolutely could not do my job without Digikam, so I am trying to give back. After I get through all of the text in the program, I may try to work on the handbook and menu items. I'm sure I'll step on toes as I go along. _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |
