Version:           0.8.1 (using KDE 3.5.1 Level "a" , SUSE 10.1)
Compiler:          Target: i586-suse-linux
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.16.53-0.8-default

The display of the camera shows PC, that means it is connected to a computer. Then I start the program digicam and install the camera "Precison Mini Digital Camera". When I try to download the pictures on to my computer I get a message: "It is not possible to build up a conection to the camera. Try again?...". I try to use a other device driver but with out of success. Then I logged myself as root and done the same things again, but with out of success. Thank you for your help!

Try newer version of digiKam, current is 0.9.2. What version of gphoto?

Hello Mikolaj,

I try to install digiKam 0.9.2, but it did not work out, because there were
library's missing. I installed gphoto 2.1.99, what was not installed
automaticly and it worked. Now I can read out the digital camera. Thank you
for your help!

Sorry to bother you for that, but it actually should install itself when
digiKam gets installed. Because I have got KDE installed, I thought I did not
have to use a Gnome program.

G here stands rather for GNU. Gphoto is general library for interaction
between computer and digital cameras.

That was not digiKam problem but that of external dependency.
