Summary: drag drop to a Java applet doesn't seem to work
           Product: digikam
           Version: 0.9.0
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: digikam-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: noh.way.jose dsl pipex com

Version:           0.9.0 (using KDE 3.4.2 Level "b" , SUSE 10.0)
Compiler:          Target: i586-suse-linux
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.13-15.16-smp

(quick caveat: as a non-coder, I acknowledge that I am unable to determine which end of the transaction is to blame for this: DigiKam or the applet.)

I use an Internet service provided by www.photobox.com, which provides a drag-drop Java (or active-x) applet, onto which jpgs can be dragged, which makes them available for upload. The drag drop to the applet works fine when the source is either the normal Konqueror details view or from DigiKam's browser BUT ONLY from the individual photo list. It does _not_work_from_the_album_tree_view_.

By way of an additional clue, an _album_ in the tree view IS draggable to Konqueror or the desktop.

Wish: Drag an album and drop it on the Java applet to upload all photos in the album.

Apologies if this is entirely the applet's fault - Delete wish, if that's the case.

Ta,

Greg

Sound like a java applet problem wich do not support standard Drag & Drop implemented under Linux.
