I like it, this is the way I create icons for kaddressbook contacts.
At least I would love to be able to select a portion of an image, right now the
whole image is used. So most of the time you need to find an image where only
this person is seen and where not too much background is visible, otherwise you
get album / tag thumbnails you hardly can recognize.
So when assigning an photo to be the tag or album thumbnail, a little window
could pop up, in where you drag a rectangle around the person's face to
generate a icon from.
