Hi,

Maybe from the gui point of view it would be simpler to have three buttons to
pan and three sliders for zoom. One for left hand side, one for right hand side
and another one in the middle for synchronized zoom and pan, then one could
suppress the "synchronize" button. If one wants synchronized zooming he would
just use the third slider.
