Version:           0.9.1 (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)

If I want to have a look at all my albums, I have to use the album-view. If I want to see all pictures from January 2007 I have to use the date-view. However, in the latter case I do not have the possiblity to order the pictures by folder/album.

I would like to be able to see all pictures from albums created in (January) 2007, i.e. list them in the right-pane and divide them by sub-headings.

If I understand you correctly, this is a duplicate of #140743
That one talks about something more general, which includes your case though.
