I agree with Axel. A batch merge tool is needed which simply has to search for
files with the same name excluding suffix in the same album and group them.
Maybe it could be intelligent enough to group also variants like:
img_1234.jpg
img_1234.cr2
img_1234-1.JPG
IMG_1234_2.jpg
One problem might be how to merge the meta data. Because sometimes my raw files
have not the same meta (often less or none) data attached as the jpeg. This
wasn't intentional so it would be nice the correct the missing meta data this
way.
