My Nikon D300 have VERY good raw to jpeg processing. And there is no point in
adding any manual work most of the time. But in some situations that I know can
be troublesome I shot in jpeg+raw. This allows me to correct any misstake the
camera did.
Nikons processing is soo good that I want a copy of it even when I know I will
postprocess from RAW. (If I used Windows this would be less of a problem since
I could use Nikon software to postprocess - using all stored camera settings)
But if your camera does a poor job in converting to jpeg I can understand your
view and use of RAW all the time.
But the batch tool sounds nice!
