When you update/modify a picture in showFoto the gallery should be updated (I think the best way is to use

Currently, you need to display another gallery and go back to the one in which you just modified a picture.

No. showfoto thumbbar is a preview of image file recorded to the disk, no image editor actions preview. This is a non sence to have a preview of unsharp mask from a 6Mpx picture to a 64x64 pix thumb ! Also all image plugins dialog has a real preview mode.

Note that thumbs are updated when image is written to the hdd. You have an action history to Undo/Redo menu.
