I noticed that sometimes, quite rarely, I had a "can't write" the file after edit. probably the same origin. The files I was working on where copyied (by konqueror) from cd's. They kept they readonly attribute (r--r--r--). Restoring the write state closed the bug. the directory is rwx I don't understand why I could write the image but not the exifs :-( this should be advertised somewhere, copying from a backup is a frequent task.
