Summary: Second user's camera not recognised
           Product: digikam
           Version: 0.7.3
          Platform: Mandriva RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: digikam-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: johnbexon dsl pipex com

Version:           0.7.3 (using KDE KDE 3.4.0)
Installed from:    Mandriva RPMs
OS:                Linux

I have 2 users, my wife & I, on my system and we each have different Canon Powershot cameras. When the first user to login connects his/her camera to Digikam it is recognised and all is well. However, after switching to the second user, neither camera is recognised (and, initially, neither camera could be added). This is always the same whoever is the first user to login and whichever camera is connected. There are ways around this, such as logging out and the new user logging in, but simply switching users would be much more convenient if this bug could be ironed out.

Digikam uses gphoto to connect to the camera. Maybe it is a problem with gphoto or  a problem how your system recognises your cameras. Please contact the gphoto guys.
