Just got the 3.0.0 version from the Fedora 17 repos this morning.
I'm currently processing a whole batch of TIFF pictures (resizing/watermark/JPG conversion) but for 1 or 2 in 4, I get this message: "Impossible de traiter l'élément". Apart from the fact that it is the first time I use the watermarking module (but I did a test on a small group of pictures before launching the big one), I've done nothing new and it worked perfectly with previous versions. Any idea what could generate this issue? Thanks for helping, Marie-Noëlle -- Mes dernières photos sont dans ma galerie. Connaissez-vous Image Fixe, le photo-club de Saint Jean du Gard ? Ouch... this appears to be even worse: no thumbnail available in the destination album, even after I tried to rebuild them; and I cannot display any picture that have been processed.

Additional information: when I look at the content of the album folder in Nautilus, all the JPEG files have a 0 size!
So Digikam appears to have created only empty files. What I puzzled me is that I've done a test on 5 pictures before, and it worked fine... Marie, I use BQM to process file here, and it work well. I use libjpeg 8. Do you use libjpeg-turbo. If yes, it's the problem. Implementation have never tested with this forked libjpeg library...

Thanks for your quick answer, Gilles.
From what I can see, the libjpeg-turbo seems to be installed on my system; but Fedora 17 doesn't seem to propose anything else. And it did work with a small batch of pictures... Any idea what I can do to solve this issue, at lest for the moment, as I need to generate a whole portfolio rather quickly. Marie-Noëlle 2013/3/21 Gilles Caulier <[hidden email]>

If you use another export file format than JPEG, as PNG for ex, it work ? It doesn't seem to be related to JPEG conversion, as I encounter the same problem with PNG.
But the problem disappears when I suppress the watermark, that is a simple PNG file. So the watermark processing seems to be the culprit, but not always as I had succeded in generating a small batch of watermarked JPEG. And what's your workflow exactly : tools assigned, input image format, etc... Gilles Caulier 2013/3/21 Gilles Caulier <[hidden email]>

Run kdebugdialog and turn on digikam, KEXiv2, KDcraw debug spaces. Run digikam from a console and process a BQM workflow. What do you see on the console ?

Using TIFF in input (original sizes, so quite big!), I used the following tools:
- resize to 1024px - apply watermark (PNG file), bottom-left / 15%/ 1% and 1% - JPEG conversion. But I think I've found where the problem comes from: I don't how it ended up like that, but the watermark file name was replaced by the value "true"! Apparently, the issue disappeared as soon as I put back the right filename. So it appears to be solved... as long as one check the filename is in place. I'll let you know if I any other issue arises. Thanks for helping. 2013/3/21 Gilles Caulier <[hidden email]>

Some more information that might help you: I just realized that workflows seem to be saved without their setups:
- watermark filename has disappeared - size in the redimension tool seems to have disappeared too, and is now ... 10px - and JPEG quality is reset to ... 1! So the whole problem might be in the save/restore workflow functionality. Hope this helps. Marie-Noëlle -- Mes dernières photos sont dans ma galerie.
