Batch processing throws a error

Fabio
Hi All,

Using Windows 7, I am trying the batch queue processing to convert from Raw to TIFF (or any other format). I select the pictures (.NEF) , 30 items
Target : Use original album
File renaming: Tried both, with and without
Behavior: Perform Raw dmeosaicing
Raw Decoding: Default some options
Assigned tools:
- color autocorrection
- Convert to Tiff

Execute:
Some tasks complete normal :

Then I start getting Microsoft Visual C++ . Run time error:  Program  c:\Program Files(x86)\digiKam\bin\digikam.exe

I tried it twice and got same behavior. The rebui first time, the db file got corrupted and I had to rebuild it.

Any idea why and how to fix it/workaround it?

This is key to my work flow. I started to shoot in RAW only and was planning to convert them to tiff using digiKam but cannot do it one at a time so batch processing is a must.

Thanks

It's strange. I can process without any error my RAW files (ARW) in batch under Linux.

Can you open your NEF file properly under Image editor and save it to TIFF ?

Error appear always on same NEF file ?

If yes, can you share files with me to test here ?

Best

I think it is not related to a single file (I have tried with different files with same result). The behavior is very strange. I noticed that when I launched it for multiple file it was able to generate 1 or 2 tiff files.

I also noticed, it generated the few files with size 0 bytes.

I tried launching a batch of only 1 picture. This time digiKam did not crash, but I got messages saying it could not generate the file

I am able to open the Image Editor and save  as tiff (or jpeg) file.

I am not sure if this is relevant or not but I am using the just released version 3.2.0

Attached is the picture I used for my last test.

Thanks for the help!

Tried sending the following e-mail with the Raw file as attachment but
it failed due to file size. Re-sending it with no attachment

You can send file to my gmail account. file size attachment is limited
to 20Mb. You can use also a web drive service as GDrive for ex.

Note that your problem sound like this entry in bugzilla :

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=318577

But on my linux computer, i never reproduce this MT problem... I don't
know why...

Hi All,

I reproduced the issue with 5-6 files, same thing happened. It generated
some temp files. I uploaded those files and a couple of sample Raw files
along with their sidecar files. Hope this helps to identify the
problem.  Files are in dropbox in following link :

Thanks
