Hello,
I can't remember since when I notice this behaviour, but I can remember that at some time in the past it was different... The very helpful tool-tips, on the pictures as well as on the album-view, have a transparent background. This makes it very hard to read. Does anybody know if it is possible to change this setting and where? Changing the theme does not have any influence... I upgraded from DK 1.3 to 1.4 on my Kubuntu 10.4 yesterday. This at least did not change anything. Thanks a lot micha __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Sie sind Spam leid? Yahoo! I am using PCLinuxOS2010-KDE with digikam 1.4.0.After upgrading to KDE 4.5.1 had same issue. Changed KDE's 'Desktop theme' to 'Air' to overcome it. There were problems reported with this fix for KDE 4.4, but I cannot test that. _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
I use KDE 4.5.1, but I have transparent backgrounds, too.
Marcel, are you sure this is fixed? Thanks Jagdeesh,
that's is a workaround. I first tried some changes on the "workspace appearance", but it did not help. Now I changed the "application appearance" to "cleanlooks" and there we are. I usually do not play around much with these things, but in this time a change has quite some positive effect. Anyway, the problem seems to be know, so I hope it will be solved with the next release. Thanks a lot everybody for this really good program bye micha On Saturday 02 October 2010, 23:40:35 Jagdeesh wrote: > On 10/01/2010 08:36 PM, Micha Neubauer wrote: > > Hello, > > > > I can't remember since when I notice this behaviour, but I can remember > > that at some time in the past it was different... > > The very helpful tool-tips, on the pictures as well as on the album-view, > > have a transparent background. > Marcel,
> are you sure this is fixed? Yes - at least for my environment. I've tested both branches. The discussion is at https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=250265 There are screenshots how it looks for me. The important part is p.drawPrimitive(QStyle::PE_PanelTipLabel, opt); in paintEvent, which draws the same background as all "normal" tooltips have as well - code is taken from QToolTipLabel. Previously, we painted nothing, and at least with KDE 4.5, a tooltip is a translucent window. setFrameStyle(QFrame::StyledPanel); is also important I think. I'm not sure about the impact of the setForegroundRole/setBackgroundRole calls in the constructor, as well as the call to setPalette(QToolTip::palette()); For me, the tooltip is also colored according to the current palette when I change the (digikam) theme or the KDE color theme (did not test the latter because it crashes KWin here ;-) ) Marcel _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
