Hi,
in the FAQ I found the question "Is Digikam available in my language ?”. this is my question too. But the answer ist o.k. for me: I use version 5.0ß.0 on Mac-Osx, I loaded the pkg-file and found no possibility to change the language to german. In your answer to this question I read "export LANG=fr.UTF-8 ; digikam”. I used this method by replacing fr by de and it doesn’t work, the used language is english. How can I change the language for digikam on my macbook? If the menu titles (BRowse, Album, Tag, ...) are in English and the content is in French, what I can do? You are not alone with this problem. Sound like it miss something in translation sets when i package OSX installer. For the moment, No idea why just this part is not translated. There is no reason, because the menu strings are in digiKam source code and whole strings from all digiKam are packaged in the same container for translators. Hi,
I have this problem on fully updated arch linux - english menus, danish gui apart from that. And digikam (and the rest og kde) opens darktable in english whereas it is in danish when started from cli. My language is set to danish. Hi all, in with my all german kubuntu 16.04 the DK version 5.0 has as well english menu titles but geman user interface otherwise. It is annoying but bothers me not really. DK 5 is fast and stable. And I am happy that the panorama stitcher is back. It is so smooth to generate the pano in background. The lensfun correction is missing a save button to store a camera and lens profile. It detects the camera but not the lens. I am missing also the html page export in the KiPi plugins, I use it for simple webpages on my web space.
