ApphangB1 on startup

Travis Toon
Help requested.

Today I installed digikam 4.12.0 on my Windows7 64-bit system and was having a great time with it, for a while.  However, now it refuses to play with Windows7 anymore, at all.  When I try to open digikam it simply freezes as soon as it loads.  Error details give this information:

UPDATE: I deleted the .db file but the problem persists

UPDATE: I uninstalled digikam, rebooted, reinstalled digikam, but the problem persists.  The odd thing about this process was that second installation did not prompt me through the initial setup routine, and when I opened it for the first time it knew where my .db file was.  I don't understand that.

Print Assistant problem

Stuart T Rogers
I use digikam to print my photos some times on to a dedicated photo
printer which has 6x4inch paper. My problem is that after manipulation
of the photo it is not always possible to allow the print assistant to
stretch the photo when it is smaller than the 6 inch size. For example I
had a photo this morning which after processing ended up 4x4 inches so I
wanted a single photo of actual size to print rather than stretching it
and forcing a crop. Now in showFoto one can scale an image to get the
exact size to print that I need. Unless I am missing something here
there does not seem to be an equivalent feature of the print assistant.
Could this be added in future?
