Greetings everyone, First and foremost, I
would like to thank the developers for helping me over the past couple
of months, and accepting me into this prestigious program. I'm very
excited to be a part of this project, and I am really grateful for this
opportunity. My project aims to improve the Face Management
Workflow, and I have been assigned 3 mentors (Maik, Trung and Gilles). I
plan to discuss any doubts regarding my implementation on this mailing
list, so that it is visible to everyone. However, for any doubts related
to my schedule/personal issues, I feel contacting the mentors directly
will be more appropriate. Since I have been assigned 3 mentors, may I please know who to keep in touch with directly over personal mail? Thanks in advance, Kartik |
Hi and welcome...
Please CC all of mentors in all your messages it's better. Like this there is always somebody to respond to your Q. The application is huge and problems can be found in different parts, so not all people know all technical details from the implementations. Hi Kartik, Welcome to GSoC. Looking forward to working with you for the next 3 months. I also agree with Gilles on that. Don't worry to address us with your questions and cc all mentors, we are here to help. Besides, there is a small detail that I want to remind: all your work from now on if related to GSoC project has to be on a different branch, so that we can use it for later evaluation. Moreover, it's easier for us to merge all your work specific for GSoC project later. I saw a merge request from you today, so just want to remind you beforehand :). [hidden email] for branch creation, should we or students do it? Overall, congratulations anyway :) Cheers, On Tue, May 5, 2020 at 1:07 PM Gilles Caulier <[hidden email]> wrote: Hi and welcome... -- Mr. Thanh-Trung Dinh Université de Technologie de Compiègne (UTC) - France Tel: +33 7 53 68 20 29 |
Hi Thanh,
in 2019, i remember that Mohamed has created the branch, probably because we must have git right to process. So we must do it. Please look the typo already used with "git branch -a", there are plenty of in the repository. Also, students must send a request to KDE system admin for git account
creation as developers... Hi Gilles, I will take care of branch creation for students. So, which branch (master or development/7.0.0) should I base on to create those new branches? Hi Thanh,
Master of course. 7.0.0 is obsolete since a while ago...
