ARW images

Anders Lund
Hello,

I am considering buying a Sony A77 camera, but can digikam open the ARW files
it produces? I downloaded a sample, but digikam does not appear to be able to
display or edit it :\

The image is here: http://dpnow.com/sample_images/8229/DSC00229.jpg

I use Sony camera (i'm old Minolta user)

Historically, A500, A65, and now A77.

Sony is very well supported (it's a high priority for me here (:=)))...

I also patch Exiv2 to support Sony makernote few year ago...

Re: ARW images

Gilles Caulier-4
And as i don't plan to switch to another camera maker (as Canon or
Nikon), Sony support will always on the top in DK.

In the future, i plan to update my DLSR with next 32Mpx planned by
Sony for 2014...

Re: ARW images

Gilles Caulier-4
It still something that i don't implement in Exiv2 metadata writing
support in ARW.

As XMP sidecar do the stuff, it sound not a priority for me. But it's
me viewpoint of course...
