A idea

Alberto Garcia Quesada
Hi all,

I have testing the last versión 0.9.1 beta.
Work fine in kde 3.5.6+openSuse 10.2.

I think would be a good idea if the user can launch a script at the moment of
transfer the photos from camera to digikam. Perhaps a new tab with a input
from localize the script and other input
Perhaps in other section like "Operations at fly" (I dont know the original
name, my digikam is translated to Spanish)

My G IMP ability is better that my english!! :D

There is a new kipi-plugin named "sync" to do a common interface about
uploading picture on remote computer (blog, gallery, ftp, flicker, etc.)

It's under developpement. Please contact [hidden email] to get more
informations from developpers.

Gilles

I second the idea of a hook for such operations.

For example I myself do my photo downloading by hand in order to gps-correlate
my raw files, too, and to perform more sophisticated renaming operations than
digikam allows right now.

As not all users will need this, it should be no reason to bloat digikam, but
giving experienced users a clear and simple API for such operations would
enhance the usefulness of digikam even further.
