A doubt on windows package

JUANGAL@iies.es
I´ve installed on my PC windows package through KDE windows installer. DigiKam and showfoto work fine, but when I try to save (or "save as") an image, program crashes and saves nothing. What´s wrong?

If you installed with the installer then it has probably given you v1.0.0 beta5. Since then there has been beta6, rc, 1.0.0 final, and 1.1.0, with several hundred bugs fixed. To get a more recent version you'll have to compile it yourself.

I had a great deal of trouble with that, with things missing, etc. If you search the kde-windows list archive, I posted instructions for it on Jan 22. That was for 1.0.0 final, hopefully it'll work with 1.1.0.

Having said that, what's the error message? Have you checked you have write access to that area? Does it happen if you're logged in as administrator?

Those instructions are here:
http://mail.kde.org/pipermail/kde-windows/2010-January/004607.html

It would be interesting to hear if it runs smoothly, or whether you have the same troubles as me, or different ones altogether.

Note that, for some reason, the long paragraphs don't wrap in the archive display.  Please check the warnings about times and disk space near the top.
