2.7 new saved images don't show up in folder

Under Win XP in Digikam 2.7 a new saved picture doesn't show in folder after saved . Even a restart does not show new pic . The only thing that seems to work is tools>maintenance>rescan pictures , then it shows up .

Am I missing something or another way, setting ?
