Hash: SHA1 Hi, I wanted to install digikam 1.3 on my LinuxMint system (uptodate, 64 bit version), using the Philip5 ppa. I did everything as described in various places, but digikam won't start any more. It ends with this line: digikam: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libdigikamcore.so.1: undefined symbol: _ZN11KDcrawIface19RawDecodingSettingsaSERKS0_ I don't know what it means, and what I can do. I checked the web, others have had similar problems, but their solutions don't fit my situation, it seems. I tried everything I read, with no success. I also tried getting back to 1.2, that didn't work either - it comes up, but doesn't show me any images at all. Any ideas (not for getting 1.2 back, but for getting 1.3 to work)? Thanks in advance! I have version 4.4.5 installed, that's the latest I can find. Is there any later one somewhere? So you have to update to kde 4.5 or install the newer version of kdegraphics in your kde 4.4 install. _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

What can I do to fix that? Thanks! I'm using digiKam under openSUSE Linux and had a similar issue some time ago. Earlier versions of digiKam seemed to create the database file by default in ~/Bilder (German name of ~/Pictures) whereas later DK versions seem to use ~/digikam by default. In some DK 1.4.x version there was still a mismatch where the setup wizard proposed one of those folders while the setup menu proposed thoe other one. So maybe you simply need to open the setup dialog (German: Einstelliungen -> digikam einrichten ...) and in the database settings select the correct path where your digikam4.db file is located. I haven't tried it yet after I changed the paths, because it took a looong time to read all the info, but I'll check again. Thanks, now I can see images at least.
